Third-parties compete for supply chain
logistics
NAW's June 4th SmartBrief reports One of the competitive forces
facing wholesale distribution firms is the familiar brown trucks of UPS
and its shipping brethren FedEx and Ryder, according to the new report,
"Facing the Forces of Change: The Road to Opportunity," produced by the
National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors and Pembroke Consulting.
According to Adam J. Fein, Ph.D., Pembroke Consulting President and DREF
Fellow and lead author of the study, "Third-party logistics companies are
on a collision course with distributors for control of the supply chain."
